Hice Quarantines After 2 Colleagues Test Positive For Coronavirus
U.S. Rep. Jody Hice said he self-quarantined after contact with Rep. Louie Gohmert, a mask skeptic who learned Wednesday he tested positive.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Rep. Jody Hice is the latest public figure to go into quarantine over the coronavirus.
Hice, who represents Georgia’s 10th District, announced on his website Thursday that he had gone into a two-week quarantine “out of an abundance of caution” after two colleagues tested positive for the coronavirus.
One of those colleagues is U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas, a mask skeptic who learned Wednesday that he had tested positive.

Hice is now awaiting test results.
“I strongly believe it is important for Congress to fully get back to work — and that requires us as individuals to be responsible and take appropriate actions when necessary, as I believe it is now,” Hice wrote on his website. “I’m feeling fine and I haven’t experienced any symptoms but, after consulting with medical professionals, I will be taking precautionary steps to work remotely and social distance from folks for the next two weeks."
