It's Air Quality Awareness Week — Is Carpooling an Option for You?

Air — we all need it to live and most of us probably want to breathe in the cleanest air possible. Air Quality Awareness Week, observed through Friday, May 3, places an emphasis on clean air and what each of us can do to help improve air quality.

According to a post on Georgia.gov, this week is a reminder that there are simple, actions you can take to make immediate and positive impacts. One way you can have an impact on air quality is through your commute to work. 

Would you like to carpool but don't know anyone you can carpool with? Georgia Commute Options offers free services to help drivers improve how they get to work, whether it's through carpooling or even vanpooling, transit or possibly teleworking.

According to Georgia.gov, the programs have collectively eliminated 1.1 million vehicle miles of travel, saving a combined $500,000 on commute costs. Click here to check out commute options. Making a change could also save you money while improving air quality.
