No Longer Tigers, Now Wolves - Local Cub Scouts from Pack 524 Graduate
Cub Scouts from Pack 524 in Loganville had their graduation Saturday, May 18, 2013, and will now move up to the next level.
Cub Scouts from Pack 524 in Loganville should now be ready to move up to the next level following a graduation last Saturday. Earlier in the week, two members of the Pack, Andrew Kable, 6, and Spencer Ray, 7, gave a demonstration on their handshake and the opening Pledge of Allegiance.
Specncer's father, Mike Kable, is a Den leader. He said there were about 20 Cub Scouts at the graduation May 18, that took place at the United Methodist Church in Walnut Grove. Pack 524 originates from the church.
"(At the graduation ceremony) Cub Scouts cross over to the next Rank," Kable said. "Tiger ( 1st Grade ) Cross Over to Wolves - Wolves ( 2nd Grade ) cross over to Bears, and Bears ( 3rd Grade ) cross over to WEBELOS ( WE'll Be LOyal Scouts )."

Kable said the event also included aa Rain Gutter Regatta.
"Thats where you fill a rain gutter up with water, then you make a boat with a sail and blow it from one end of the gutter to the other," he said.           Â

Kable's son Andrew and friend, from Sharon Elementary School where they both attend, as well as Cub Scouts, Spencer, graduated from Tigers to Wolves.
"As the Scouts move up in ranks the requirements change and you complete different tasks to give them more experiences," Kable said.
For anyone interested in getting their sons involved in Cub Scouts by joining Pack 524, Kable gave details on how it operates.
"Each Den in the Pack meets differently. Next Year we will be having two den meetings a month and one Pack Meeting a month. There is a round up in October. These Round Ups are usually communicated through the local area schools," he said. "Our Pack uses Sharon Elementary.
