​Loganville Sewage Leak Did Not Impact Drinking Water: Officials

Some sewage spilled into a tributary of the Big Flat Creek.

LOGANVILLE, GA — The environmental protection department was notified over the weekend after sewage spilled from a manhole and into a wooded area.

In a public notice, the City of Loganville said the sewage spill occurred at a manhole near Lawrenceville Road. The sewage entered a wooded area nearby, as well as an unnamed tributary of Big Flat Creek.

While the spill is not expected to impact drinking water, the environmental protection department was notified, and corrective measures were implemented.
