He was a combat veteran during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970.

James F. “Jim” Toland, age 67 of Monroe, Ga, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

Mr. Toland served in the US Army as a SP4. He was a combat veteran during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. He retired from Nestle Foods with 26 years of service.

He loved being outdoors and spending time in the yard and fishing. Mr. Toland was a member of St. Anna’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Toland was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Medford and Jean Medford Geist.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Teresa Ritter Toland of Monroe, GA; Daughters: Tara Toland, Teresa R. Toland both of Monroe, GA; Daughter and Son-In-Law Tracy and Josh Hall of Monroe, GA; Brother: Nathan Toland of Monroe City, MO; Sister and Brother In Law: Barbara and Bill Bailey of Monroe City, MO; Loved spending time with the love of his life, his grandson: Kaleb James Toland Hall.
