Rodrigo was many things to many people: a brilliant manager, a conscientious employee, a faithful friend, however most importantly, he was a loving father, not only to his daughter Rosita, but also to his beloved niece Irma, and his “adopted son” and godsons Luis and Felipe II Santana. Rodrigo “Dick” Ricardo Arthur Buzzell was born September 15, 1933 to Juana Delfina Buzzell de Arthur and Alvan Arthur Chase in the Republic of Panama.

He graduated from Artes de Oficios in Panama City. Rodrigo came to the United States where he continued his education at DeVry Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Rodrigo eventually landed a position as a mechanic in the automotive section at the United Parcel Service. His attention to detail, outstanding communicative skills, and winning personality served him well as he quickly rose up the ranks to a managerial position.

He worked for UPS for over 25 years and finally retired in 1987 as the District Automotive Manager of Central Florida and Puerto Rico. Although Rodrigo loved his job and formed strong ties to the United States, he longed to return home to his beloved Panama, and in 1987 he did just that. Rodrigo was a true caballero “a gentleman” in every sense of the word.

He was also an avid fisherman, who loved stimulating conversation, music, good food, working on his land in Panama, spending time with his family, and the company of good friends. He was a role model for his family and countless others, and was a wise and wonderful man.

In 1996, he suffered a life-changing accident, which ended his ability to walk and care for himself, however, he did not give up on life. Instead he embraced the challenge, he never gave up and spent the rest of his life facing his circumstances with true dignity and grace.

Rodrigo was preceded in death by his parents, Juana Delfina Buzzell de Arthur and Alvan Arthur Chase, and sisters Olga Elenea Arthur Buzzell and Enid Jean Arthur Buzzell.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his daughter Rosita E. Arthur-Wade, son-in-law Darryl A. Wade, grandson Terrance Alexander Wade, “beloved daughter” and niece Irma Rosa Acosta Arthur, sisters Delfina Carlotta Arthur Buzzell, Gilda Alicia Arthur Buzzell, brothers Felix Roberto Arthur Buzzell, Enrique Rodolfo Arthur Buzzell, Eberardo Patricio Buzzell, and aunt Louis Brown and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052. 770-466-1544. Please sign the online guest registry at www.stewartfh.com
