Murder Suspect At Large In Deadly Peachtree Corners Shooting

A gunshot that killed one man in front of a Peachtree Corners convenience store was one of two deadly shootings Sunday in Gwinnett County.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Authorities have identified both a suspect and the victim in the shooting death Sunday of a 22-year-old man in front of a Peachtree Corners convenience store.

Gwinnett County police are seeking Aaron Woods, 22, of Peachtree Corners, who was still at large as of Monday afternoon. Woods is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting death of Kendall Reid, 22, also of Peachtree Corners.

Gwinnett police found Reid lying between two cars midday Sunday in the parking lot of the A-1 Market on Peachtree Corners Circle. According to a spokesperson for the Gwinnett police, Reid died at the scene. He was a frequent customer at the store.

Detectives said they believe Woods and Reid knew each other and that an argument between the two led to the shooting.

Reid's shooting death is one of two that took place Sunday in Gwinnett County. Another man was shot dead Sunday night in unincorporated Dacula. Vernell Cheneau Jr., 37, was charged with murder in connection with that death and is now in the Gwinnett County Jail.
