Obituary and Funeral Arrangements: Juluis 'J.W.' Chandler

Julius "J.W." W. Chandler age 82 of Loganville passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013. A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Snellville, Rev. William Campbell, Mr. Norris Brown, and Mrs. Martha Chandler Parker will officiate. Burial will be at Isaac Chandler Cemetery, Commerce.

Mr. Chandler was a member of Park Place Baptist Church, Snellville, and a retired Material Specialist with General Motors, Doraville Plant; he was an avid golfer, bowler, and loved his John Deer Gator. Mr. Chandler was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict on the U.S.S. Hickox DD673. He played the following instruments; guitar, acoustic and electric; banjo and he loved to sing and dance.

He is survived by his Wife of 58 years: Nina Jane Bolton Chandler, Loganville; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Karen Chandler & Kent Osborne, Suwanee; Debbie Chandler & Benjamin H. Brown, Anchorage, AK; Sister & Brother-in-law: Jeanette & Robert D. Ward, Loganville; Grandchildren: Cameron Brown; Chase Osborne; Chandler Osborne; Alex Osborne; Several Nieces & Nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Ministries c/o Park Place Baptist Church, 4576 Lenora Church Road, Snellville, GA 30039. The family will receive friends 5-9 PM, Monday, June 10, 2013 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 2246 Wisteria Drive, Snellville, GA 30078, 770-979-5010.
