School Supply Donations Needed For 'Operation Children Thrive'

Gwinnett's police department is accepting donations of school supplies through July 16 to help county kids for the coming school year.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Want to help Gwinnett kids for the 2021-22 school year? Then donate school supplies for them at your nearest Gwinnett Police Department precinct.

As part of “Operation Children Thrive,” the Gwinnett police are accepting donations of these items:

  • Bookbags and backpacks
  • Colored pencils and markers
  • Safety scissors
  • Tissues
  • Paper
  • Crayons
  • Pencils and erasers
  • Glue sticks
  • Pencil pouches
  • Calculators and flash drives
  • Pens
  • Index cards
  • Highlighters
  • Pocket folders
  • Rulers
  • Notebooks (composition and spiral)
  • Hand sanitizer

Donations will be taken Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., through July 16. Gwinnett residents can drop off donations at precinct lobbies, at the Gwinnett Police Training Center and the Gwinnett Police headquarters.
