SEC Championship Game 2017: Beware Of Fake Tickets
Saturday's game between Georgia and Auburn is sold out and officials are warning fans to watch out for counterfeit ticket sales online.

ATLANTA, GA — There's obviously plenty of fan interest in Saturday's SEC Championship Game in Atlanta, which features a showdown between home-state University of Georgia and neighbors and rivals, Auburn.
But if you don't have a ticket already, officials warn that what you find online might be a fake.
The 4 p.m. game — the 122nd meeting of the two schools in what has been dubbed the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry — is sold out. In a news release, Southeastern Conference officials are warning fans to be wary of any tickets to the game they find on the secondary market.

"The Southeastern Conference reminds fans to beware of possible counterfeit or stolen tickets," the release says. "Any individual in possession of a counterfeit or stolen ticket will be denied access into the game."
There are safety features you can look for when buying tickets to the game to make sure they are real. Fans are advised to look for an authentic SEC holographic foil located on the back of the ticket.

Within the foil, several SEC circle logos and the words "Southeastern Conference" should appear and disappear when rotating the ticket back and forth.
Also, the lettering and the SEC Championship logo on the front of the ticket are raised and have a glossy texture.
A "ticket validation window" will be opened at Mercedes-Benz Stadium at the main box office beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday. There, the authenticity of a ticket can be confirmed by a box office representative.
The matchup between the 11-1 Bulldogs and the 10-2 Tigers will be a rematch of their game just two weeks ago, when Auburn beat then-No. 1 Georgia, 40-17. Georgia closed out the season with wins over Kentucky and Georgia Tech to seal the SEC East championship, while Auburn toppled arch-rival Alabama, 26-14, to take the West title.
