Shooting Suspect Found Dead In PTC Apartment: Gwinnett Police
A man wanted in connection with a shooting death at a Peachtree Corners convenience store was himself found shot dead at a nearby apartment.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A man wanted by police in connection with a shooting death last month at a Peachtree Corners convenience store was himself found shot dead Tuesday at a nearby apartment.
Aaron Woods, 22, died of what a Gwinnett County police spokesperson said “appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
Gwinnett County sheriff’s deputies had been trying to serve Woods with murder and assault warrants in connection with the shooting death on April 25 of Kendall Reid, 22, whose body was found in the parking lot of a Peachtree Corners convenience store.

When deputies couldn’t make direct contact with Woods, they called the Gwinnett SWAT team, believing Woods may have been barricaded in his Hillandale Drive apartment. After several hours without contact, SWAT team members entered the apartment and found Woods dead.
Gwinnett County detectives and the medical examiner’s office are investigating what led to Woods’ death.
