CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: October 12, 2015

Zone 1
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Jersey Covington Road and Cornish Mountain Road. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Theft- A residence in the area of Gordon Reynolds Road homeowner reported their Golf Cart was taken from the residence.

Zone 2
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Criswell Road and Monroe Jersey Road. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Zone 3
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Highway 78 and Michael Road. No injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Zone 4
Criminal Trespass- A residence in the area of Snip Dillard Road complainant reported a rock had been thrown through the window of their building. It looked as if someone had made entrance and went through their things, but nothing was reported missing.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on James Huff Road and Gratis Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Zone 5
Theft- At West Lawn Cemetery complainant reported an unknown person took their solar powered lights from a grave site.

Fraud- A residence in the area of Botanical Circle complainant reported two Comcast accounts had been opened in a different state in their name without consent.

Zone 7
Fraud- A residence in the area of Oscar Barton Road complainant reported they received a phone scam from an individual who requested they send money via Paytel.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Highway 138 and Cannon Farm Road. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Zone 1

Zone 2
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Highway 11 in reference to vagrants in the area in the night time hours.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Highway 11 and Mill Ridge Road. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on East Hightower and Highway 278. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Zone 3
Arrest- Benjamin Wages was arrested at a residence off Old Monroe Madison Highway in reference to an outstanding Aggravated Assault warrant out of Monroe Police Department.

Zone 4
Arrest- Valarie Coron was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Mountain Creek Church Road for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and Possession of Drug Related Object following a traffic stop.

Zone 5
Arrest- Brandon Allen was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and Irvin Drive for Driving Under the Influence, Speeding, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving and Open Container following a traffic stop.

Zone 6
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on James Huff Road and Gratis Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Arrest made in reference to Safety Check:

• Shaquille Smart was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
• Calvin Rawls was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.
• Corey Lacey was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.

Arrest- Gene Patterson was arrested in the area of Highway 78 for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Related Objects, No Tag and Expired License following a traffic stop.

Zone 7
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Guthrie Cemetery Road. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Identity Theft- A residence in the area of Geoffrey Lane complainant reported an unknown subject applied for a discover card in their name.

Damage to Property- A residence in the area of Hightower Trail motorist reported an unknown subject struck their vehicle in their yard.

Harassment- A residence in the area of Shoal Creek Road complainant reported receiving several calls from a subject claiming to be with the IRS.

Prowler- A residence in the area of Piney Grove homeowner reported seeing an unknown subject running from their residence.

Zone 6
Arrest- Ronald Price was arrested at a residence off Donna Lane for Battery and Terroristic Threats following a dispute.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Emmett Still Road and Kent Rock Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
