CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT

Activity date: October 9, 2015-October 11, 2015

Zone 1
Arrest- Joshua Bumgarner was arrested in the area of Main Street downtown Jersey for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 138. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Theft- A residence in the area of Guantt Road homeowner reported an unknown subject took several items from their residence.

Zone 2
Trespassing- A residence in the area Hancock Drive complainant reported an unknown subject opened a window in the residence and left the front door opened. Extra patrol was requested in reference to the incident.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Amber Stapp Studdard Road in reference to several mailboxes being damaged in the area.

Zone 3
Burglary- A residence in the area of Chandler Road homeowner reported forced entry into their residence and several items were taken.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Old Monroe Madison and Nunnally Shoals Road. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Zone 5
Burglary- A residence in the area of Bay Creek Church Road homeowner reported an unknown person entered the residence, but nothing seemed to be taken.

Harassing Phone Calls- A residence in the area of Meadow Wood Lane caller reported they received calls from out of the area in reference to them winning the Publisher Clearing House lottery and they need to pay taxes on their winnings.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Bullock Bridge Road. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handle the scene of the accident.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Bold Springs Road. No injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Heritage Parkway and Garrett Road in reference to unknown subject “Mud Bogging” in the area.

Arrest- Shana Jackson was arrested at a residence off Cumberland Trail for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Raymonds Drive in reference to vehicles pulling into complainants driveway.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Bold Springs Road and Double Springs Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Zone 6
Stolen Vehicle- A residence in the area of Center Hill Church Road complainant reported their 1995 Jeep Cherokee was taken during the night time hours. Vehicle was entered into the national database.

Fraud- A residence in the area of Angie Court complainant reported they met someone through social media and was sent a fraudulent check and the suspect requested it be sent back to them through Western Union.

Suspicious Vehicle- A residence in the area of Pine Drive complainant reported a suspicious vehicle was at the top of their driveway.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Rosebud Road and Escoe Drive. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Road and Flagstone Way. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Rosebud and Centerville Rosebud Road. No life threatening injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Suspicious Vehicle- A residence in the area of Sara Court complainant reported a blue Ford truck was laying drag in Sharon Elementary School parking lot. Deputies checked the area, no contact.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on North Sharon Church Road and Green Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

  • Citations in reference to Safety Check: One for Suspended License and another for possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.


Suspicious Vehicle- A residence in the area of Black Fox Drive complainant reported an unknown white truck was driving up and down the road several times and sitting at the stop sign.

Zone 7
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to an accident in the area of Highway 81 and the Orchard Church. No injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
