25 Businesses Jump Start Recovery In 'Rise Up Mega Raffle'

ALSIP, IL — Twenty-five local businesses have combined forces in a mega raffle to jumpstart their recovery after the coronavirus shutdown. Three lucky winners could snag a grand prize of $4,500 each in gift certificates in a small business mega raffle organized by the Alsip Chamber of Commerce. Tickets for the “Local Businesses Rise Up Mega Raffle” are $10 each and can be purchased through June 21 on Eventbrite.

The independently owned businesses are based in Alsip, Crestwood, Worth, Chicago Ridge, Oak Lawn, Palos Hills, Palos Heights, Bridgeview and Burbank.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be divided among the 25 participating businesses to help get them back on their feet from the coronavirus shutdown and to help those businesses that can’t reopen until phase 4 of the governor’s reopening plan.

“Your ticket purchases will help save these 25 local businesses from having to close their doors,” the Alsip chamber said. “These are challenging times for all of us. Although some restrictions are being lifted, these businesses have already sustained a huge loss, and it will take a time for them to recover completely.”

These 25 small businesses have each contributed $300 worth of products or services to their respective establishments along with some generous sponsors creating a prize pool worth over $14,000 including three weekend getaways, as well as three estate planning gift certificates. Three winners will be selected in a drawing on June 22. The gift certificates can be used starting January 2021.
