CRESTWOOD, IL – Bring a pillow for your butt because the AMC 2019 Best Picture Showcase returns on two Saturdays, Feb. 16 and Feb. 23, at the AMC Crestwood 18 Theatre in the Rivercrest Shopping Center. Watch all of the Academy Award Best Picture nominees. The AMC Best Picture Showcase offers movie lovers enjoy all the nominated pictures so they can dazzle their friends at Oscar parties.
The long-running AMC Best Picture Showcase has attracted a loyal fan base, which continues to grow year after year. AMC guests savor the opportunity to see the nominees in one or two settings, evaluating in real time what movie will take home the biggest prize of the night. This year, seven nominees will be featured in the Best Picture Showcase. The remaining nominee -- “Roma” -- is a film that was never licensed to AMC, and as such, it is not included in the showcase.
“There’s a true sense of community, as so many of these guests come back every year, often bringing friends and family members who are experiencing the event for the first time,” said Stephen Colanero, Chief Marketing Officer, AMC. “At many locations, guests who often only know each other through this event come back to catch up with each other, and watch the best films of the year.”
