ALDI Hiring For 100 Positions At Chicago-Area Stores

ALDI will host a one-day hiring spree on Tuesday, Jan. 15, to staff its stores across the Chicago region and Northern Indiana. Applicants can visit their local ALDI locations between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to apply. Known for offering market-leading wages and health insurance, ALDI is said to be one of the fastest growing retailers in the U.S., creating new opportunities for people locally and nationwide.

Job seekers who attend the hiring event will be asked to fill out an application, and may be asked about availability and other job requirements. Interviews will be conducted at a later date. Manager trainee, shift manager and store associate positions are available, including:

• Manager Trainee: $54,900-$56,190 per year, depending on location ($22.25-$22.75 per hour averaging 45 hours per week), with the opportunity to earn $75,000 to $90,000 per year as a store manager.
• Shift Manager: $17.60-$18.50 per hour, depending on location ($13.10-$14.00 per hour plus $4.50 per hour when performing manager duties).
• Store Associate: $13.10-$14.00 per hour, depending on location.

Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply and available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Retail experience is preferred. Management experience a plus for manager trainees. Employees averaging more than 25 hours per week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. All employees are invited to participate in the ALDI 401(k) program.

The grocer operates more than 1,800 stores in 35 states and is in the middle of an accelerated expansion plan to increase its store count to 2,500 and create 25,000 jobs by the end of 2022, the company said.
