ALDI Says Goodbye Oak Forest, Hello Crestwood This Thursday

CRESTWOOD, IL — After 20 years serving the community, ALDI will relocate its Oak Forest store to a new location at 4820 Cal-Sag Road in Crestwood. The grocer claims that its new store will offer a smarter, faster and easier grocery shopping experience for customers. The current store at 15441 S. Cicero Avenue will close its doors Wednesday, March 4.

ALDI will host a grand opening, ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 5 at 8:25 a.m., followed by its popular Golden Ticket giveaway offering gift cards to the first 100 customers. Shoppers can also sample ALDI-exclusive brand foods and enter its sweepstakes for a chance to win a year's supply of ALDI produce.

In 2017, Crestwood lost its only supermarket when Ultra Foods closed at 131st Street and Cicero Avenue.

The new Crestwood store offers shoppers an improved layout with more refrigeration to accommodate the recently expanded fresh, healthy and convenient food selection. The new Crestwood store, like all ALDI stores, provides a consistent, streamlined and efficient shopping experience, the grocery chain boasts. The new store features five aisles filled with the most popular products in the most commonly purchased sizes. ALDI stores also have open ceilings and natural lighting and are built with environmentally friendly building materials. The Crestwood store will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
