Alsip Police Hiring Part-Time Community Service Officer
The community service officer performs a wide variety of tasks in support of law enforcement and crime prevention.

ALSIP, IL — The Alsip Police Department is taking applications for a part-time community service officer. Community service officers serve 16 to 25 hours per week. The police department is looking for someone who can work independently and able to resolve conflicts peacefully
Community service officers perform a wide variety of tasks in support of law enforcement and crime prevention within the community, including:
- Patrol the village and enforce ordinances
- Answer calls for service from residents and businesses
- Investigate reports of ordinance violations
- Prepare written reports
- Perform vacation and business checks
- Assist other agencies or municipal departments in service-related, non-police matters
- Conducts non-injury traffic investigations
- Testify in court for ordinance civil matters
Interested candidates must be 18, a high school graduate (or equivalency), have a valid driver’s license or ability to get one, and able to pass a criminal background check and medical examination.
