Art, Wine, Music On Tap At Crestwood Fine Arts Fair

Shop, enjoy music, and wine and cheese at the Crestwood Arts Council's Fine Arts Fair this Sunday, Nov. 17.

CRESTWOOD, IL — Enjoy an afternoon of culture this Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Crestwood Fine Arts Fair. The fair showcases over 30 local artists, wine, cheese and live music from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crestwood Recreation and Wellness Center, 5331 W 135th St, Crestwood.

Featured artists include Linda Bravo and her earthy pottery collections, resin art on canvas and wood by JoAnna Armstrong, and upscale semi-precious stone jewelry by Becky Clemmons. One-of-a-kind Winona Street Designs and John Sarsfield’s painted landscapes of Ireland and city scenes will also be for sale.

Artist John Howard, Crestwood’s own treasure and well known artist and teacher will exhibit his mini-gallery of paintings. Howard painted the murals at Ozinga Field, home of
the Windy City Thunderbirds.

Representatives will be extolling the benefits of senior living at the Pointe of Kilpatrick and provide trays of petite desserts. Other food vendors include cannoli sampling by Nonna’s Pizza. Louisa’s will be pairing bruschetta with wine provided by Thirsty Beaver, At the Office and Mayor Lou Presta. Start the day off with coffee and hot chocolate donated by Starbucks. Dave’s Hot Dogs will have food available for purchase.

Chicago musician Katie Quick will provide tunes featuring a variety of musical genres from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by the serenades and crooning of Jerry Armstrong.

Crestwood residents who have filed for a property tax rebate are welcome to pick up their checks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Mayor Presta and staffers. The mayor will also be awarding $500 for the winning design of the 2020 vehicle sticker for the Village of Crestwood.

Come see, sip and shop on a cold winter’s day at the Crestwood Recreation Center. This event is FREE.
