Boyfriend Holds Girlfriend Against Her Will At Gunpoint: Police
Alsip police entered the apartment with ballistic shields where a man was believed to be restraining his girlfriend at gunpoint.
ALSIP, IL — An Alsip man was arrested when he held his girlfriend against her will at gunpoint, Alsip police said in a news release. Mack A. Mozo-Batalla, 19, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Around 1 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment building in the 3600 block of 120th Place where a man, later identified as Mozo-Batalla, was believed to be holding his girlfriend against her will. Officers were met by an “uncooperative” family member who blocked their way from entering the apartment, police said.
Using their ballistic shields, police were eventually able to enter the apartment. Officers located the woman and brought her to safety. Mozo-Batalla was taken into police custody. A loaded Intratec Tec-9 firearm was recovered at the scene. No injuries were reported.

Mozo-Batalla was schedule for a bond hearing Monday at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
