Crestwood Arts Council Invites Artists To Submit Works for Juried Fine Arts Fair
Artists sought for the Crestwood Arts Council's Fine Arts Fair on Nov. 12.
CRESTWOOD, IL -- The Crestwood Arts Council invites artists to submit work to its upcoming juried fine arts fair on Nov. 12. The fine arts fair runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Crestwood Recreation Center, 5331 W. 135th St. Artists working in the mediums of painting, drawing, jewelry, sculpture, photography and more will be featured. Time slots are also available for musical performers. Admission to the Fine Arts Fair is FREE.
Art Ala Carte from Orland Park will be returning and providing kids and adults a small canvas to paint for $2. Food trucks will also be parked outside the Crestwood Recreation Center. Crestwood’s Starbucks will supply hot chocolate and coffee while supplies last. To sweeten the pot, Mayor Lou Presta, trustees and staff will be handing out tax rebate checks to residents (with ID) from 10:30 to 2 p.m. Checks not picked up will be mailed to residents. Presta is also springing for a wine and cheese sampler.
Tables will be provided to artists for $30. Artists may set up their exhibit areas the night before the fine arts fair. Applications can be picked up at Crestwood Village Hall, 13840 S Cicero Ave. The deadlines to apply is Nov. 1. Selected artists will be notified on Nov. 4. Please note that this is not a craft fair.
