Crestwood, Midlothian Runners Finish 2017 Boston Marathon

A Crestwood woman and Midlothian man have accomplished the daunting task of finishing the Boston Marathon.

On Sunday, April 17, more than 30,000 runners took off from Hopkinton and traveled 26.2 miles to Boston.
Katherine Somerfield, 45, of Crestwood, turned in an official time of 4:14:54. Martin Contreras, 50, of Midlothian, clocked in at 3:37:25.

A pair of Kenyans were crowned 2017 Boston Marathon champions.
