Fireworks Fly Over Crestwood July 3 At Ozinga Field

Pack a picnic basket and head over to Ozinga Field July 3 for a family flick and fabulous fireworks display in Crestwood.

CRESTWOOD, IL — Watch the night sky light up over Crestwood at Ozinga Field Wednesday, July 3. The Village of Crestwood and Crestwood Recreation Commission are teaming up to present the fifth annual "Sparks In The Park" event. The evening features a screening of a family flick followed by a spectacular fireworks show.

Fans are welcome to walk on to the stadium's synthetic turf field and enjoy a picnic in the park. Gates open at 6 p.m. The family flick, "The Princess and The Frog," will be beamed on the Windy City Thunderbolts' new video board at 7 p.m. After the film, an Independence Day fireworks show will be put on that is sure to amaze.

The Grill behind home plate will be open and alcohol and food will be available. Outside food and drink is allowed in the ballpark for the event. Fans are asked to help keep the ballpark clean by picking up food and litter and throwing it away, even spilled popcorn. Lawn chairs are allowed on the field, but chairs must have flat rubber bottoms so as not to pierce the turf. This will be strictly enforced. No peanuts or seed products are allowed inside the stadium.
