'Holiday On Pulaski' Offers Family Fun, Carriage Rides, Giveaways

The seventh annual 'Holiday on Pulaski' gets underway Dec. 6, featuring entertainment, carriage rides, refreshments and giveaways.

ALSIP, IL -- It's going to be a miracle on Pulaski when Alsip businesses deck their halls for an evening of fun this Friday, Dec. 6. The Village of Alsip's seventh annual "Holiday on Pulaski" gets underway from 5:30 to 9 p.m.. A full array of holiday themed activities, food, giveaways, visits with Santa, Woody and Forky photo booth, Christmas tree lighting and more are planned.

Pulaski Road between 115th and 121st streets will be turned in a veritable winter wonderland, where stores and shops will be offering coupons, refreshments and giveaways. Businesses are encouraged to decorate their windows for the holidays. A free shuttle bus will be available to ferry shoppers to stores and other activities featuring entertainment and refreshments.

There is Yuletide merriment for all ages, including a holiday train, fire safety house with mini fire engines, carriage rides, ice carvings, carolers and store promotions. Santa will be putting in an appearance at Alsip Town Hall, along with Those Funny Little People.
The Prairie Junior High School Band and Choir and the Shepard High School Choir and Cappella Group will perform, along with crafts and games for children. Craft vendors will also be selling unique gifts and wares in heated tents.
