John W. Tassie, U.S. Navy Veteran, resident of Midlothian, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Kathleen, nee Gregg. Loving father of Shawn (Leslie), and Jennifer (Mark) McCabe. Dear grandfather of Zachary, Alex, Payton, Riley, and Avery. Fond brother of Pat Bickness and the late Shirley McGrath. Cherished friend of the members from Midlothian VFW Post 280 and many others. Dedicated member of the American Legion. A Memorial Mass will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 24th at St. Christopher Church, 4130 W. 147th Street, Midlothian.
