Learn More, Travel Less At Moraine Valley Education Centers

BLUE ISLAND, IL -- Learn more and travel less this fall at Moraine Valley Community College by taking classes at one of its extension campuses in Blue Island or Tinley Park. Credit classes at the education centers in Blue Island and Tinley Park, and on-campus continuing education classes start Aug. 27. Some credit class offerings include:

• Composition I and II
• Medical Terminology
• Art Appreciation
• General Sociology
• American History I
• Principles of Macroeconomics.

Several noncredit classes also are being offered offered at Tinley Park’s Southwest Education Center, including 50 Plus Computer Basics, Medicare Workshop, Tai Chi I/Qi Gong Multi Level, Yoga I, Conversational Italian (Beginning and Continued), and Conversational Spanish (Beginning), while the Education Center at Blue Island offers Residential Remodeling.

A complete list of credit and noncredit classes can be found in the fall 2018 class schedule. Registration is ongoing. Tuition is $125 per credit hour plus fees and books. New students must complete an admission application, and then can register in the Registration Office, located on Moraine Valley’s main Palos Hills campus in the Student Services Center (Building S), 9000 W. The SWEC in Tinley Park is located at 17900 S. 94th Ave. The Blue Island Education Center is located at 12940 S. Western Ave.
