Deceased Man Identified In Alsip Shooting
Alsip police say the shooting appears not to have been a random act of violence.

ALSIP, IL — A man shot to death in Alsip early Thursday morning has been identified as 29-year-old Isaac I. Alexander. An autopsy is pending by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Alsip police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating. Unconfirmed reports indicate that a suspect may have entered the home and shot the man.
Around 2 a.m., Alsip police responded to a report of shots being fired in the 12200 block of Avers Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot injuries. The man was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died.
