Target Holding Seasonal Hiring Event In Crestwood

CRESTWOOD, IL — Sleigh bells are ringing in the distance, and Target is on a quest to hire more than 130,000 seasonal team members for the upcoming holiday shopping season. Target will be hosting a hiring fair at its Crestwood location from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20 to Sept. 22. The store is located at 5071 Cal Sag Road in the Rivercrest Shopping Center.

The big box retailer announced that it would be hiring 125,000 seasonal store associates, including cashiers, guest advocates, stockers, specialty sales and more. In addition, Target plans to hire 8,000 seasonal members at distribution and fulfillment centers across the country. Supply chain team members perform such roles as processing freight to stores and fulfilling Target.com orders. All positions start at $13 an hour or more.

Target team associates, including seasonal team members will receive a 10-percent discount on merchandise and 20-percent wellness discount on fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, organics and smoking cessation products. Seasonal employees will have the opportunity to earn time-and-a-half on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Flexible schedules allow team associates to work a variety of hours.

Returning for a second year is Target’s work.win.give.appreciate.program. At each Target store, distribution and fulfillment center, two hourly team members will be chosen at random and rewarded with a $250 Target GiftCard and the opportunity to gift a $250 donation to a local organization of their choice.
