Windy City ThunderBolts Open Thursday Against Slammers
Windy City ThunderBolts are allowing 60-percent capacity at Ozinga Field for the home opener May 27 against the Joliet Slammers.

CRESTWOOD, IL — The Windy City Thunderbolts have been given the green light to allow crowds of up to 60 percent of Ozinga Field’s capacity when the 2021 season opens May 27 against the Joliet Slammers in Crestwood. The ‘Bolts started spring training this month and are playing exhibition games.
Through June 17, individual ticket customers can purchase tickets in pods of 2 through 6. The pods will have at least one row of separation in front and back of the seats, with one seat of separation on each side. Fans can purchase these pods online, but you must purchase call the tickets in that pod.

While the Illinois Department of Public Health is expecting a full reopening with no restrictions on June 11, The ThunderBolts will continue with social distance seating for individual tickets through the June 17 game. The team anticipates and is preparing for no seating restrictions, and full capacity, beginning on Friday, June 25.
Also, per new CDC guidelines and the State of Illinois, fully vaccinated fans two weeks past their final shot do not have to wear face masks while inside the stadium. Guests who are not fully vaccinated will still need face coverings when not seated.

Lower box seat tickers are $13 for Friday and Saturday games, $11 on all other days. Upper deck seats are $11 for Friday and Saturday games, $9 on all other days. Children under age 3 are free but must sit on an adult’s lap.
Seniors 55 and older are free on Wednesday night games, and veterans/active military along with a guest are free for Wednesday and Sunday games. Purchase tickets online; buy them at the Ozinga Field box office; or call 708-489-2255. Ozinga Field is located at 14011 South Kenton Ave., Crestwood.
