Worth Township Hosts Drive-Thru Emergency Food Distribution
Worth Township will host an emergency food distribution event this Thursday, Dec. 10.

ALSIP, IL — Worth Township will be holding another emergency food distribution event this Thursday, Dec. 10, starting at 2 p.m. for families facing hunger during the pandemic. Food will be distributed until the supply runs out in the parking lot of the township hall at 11601 S. Pulaski Road, in Alsip.
In November, the township’s food pantry served over 1,024 individuals from 395 households.
“A lot of people don’t want to go to the pantries because of their pride. That bothers me,” Young said, director of the township’s food pantry. “We try to help people maintain their dignity.”
