Worth Township Offers Emergency Food Distribution

ALSIP, IL — Worth Township will be holding the emergency food distribution event rescheduled for this Thursday, March 4, starting at 2 p.m. Food boxes will be distributed on a first come, first served basis until supplies run out in the parking lot of the township hall at 11601 S. Pulaski Road, in Alsip.

The township is working with the Economic Development Strategies Corporation. The Chicago-based non-profit organization has partnered with companies and community organizations to distribute prepackaged fresh produce and non-perishable goods to hundreds of families in the Chicago area through its mobile emergency free food distribution program, Food For Hope. Meat, produce and dairy will be distributed.
