159th Street Opening To Four Lanes In Homer Glen

Improvements will continue to be completed and daytime rolling lane closures will be used when necessary.

HOMER GLEN, IL — 159th Street is expected to open to four lanes of traffic between Will-Cook Road and I-355 by Monday. The village said improvements will continue to be completed and daytime rolling lane closures will be used when necessary.

“I would like to thank the residents and business owners along 159th for their patience during this project," Mayor George Yukich said in a release. "I urge drivers to remain cautious on the road as construction will continue, especially during the holiday travel and shopping season.”

Landscaping and other final project items will be completed in the spring, the village said.
