Police Plan Lockport Community Unity Celebration

The celebration will feature food, music, vendors, a raffle, touch a truck event, exotic animal show and more.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Police Department will hold its first Lockport Community Unity Celebration from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 7 at Lockport Township East High School.

According to the department, the free event will feature food, music, vendors, family activities, raffles, touch a truck, games and an exotic animal show.

The community unity celebration will replace the department's annual National Night Out event.

The department said it is looking for business vendors to come to the event, and there is no vendor fee.

LTHS East is at 1333 E. Seventh St.
