Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Mama The Wonder Dog

HOMER GLEN, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at TLC in Homer Glen. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Mama, also known as Wonder Dog, who is available for adoption at TLC.

Mama is a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix. The shelter said she is housebroken and is good with kids and other dogs.

According to the shelter, Mama got her nickname of Wonder Dog because she was left to starve to death by her owners and abandoned in a house. She was smart, and she knew she had to find a way to feed her puppies, so she broke a window in a house and found food for her pups.
