Bell Road Resurfacing Begins In Homer Glen
The Will County Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing the Bell Road bridge across Long Run Creek starting Aug. 3.
HOMER GLEN, IL — The Will County Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing the Bell Road bridge across Long Run Creek starting Aug. 3, the village of Homer Glen said on its website. The project includes the resurfacing of the bridge deck and the adjoining pavement.
According to the village, the limits of the project will extend from Glengary Drive near Menards to the Will County/Cook County border around 135th Street.
The work will be completed by Oct. 9, barring issues found with the bridge during the planned work.

During the construction, there will be a temporary signal installed at the bridge, which will cut the traffic to one single shared lane, the village said. The road is not planned to be completely closed at any time.
