HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen will hold its fourth annual Chalk It Up on the sidewalks surrounding Heritage Park, 14240 W. 151st St., from 3 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 7.
Pre-registration for the event is required, and it is free of charge. Families, artists, students and anyone who wants to draw can leave their chalk art around the park.
Prizes are awarded to first, second and third place winners, according to the village. Each participant will be given one pack of chalk, and assigned a chalk-block work space. No paint is allowed.

You are allowed to bring extra chalk, chalk pastels or blending tools if you wish, according to the village.
