Document Destruction Event

The City will be holding a document destruction event for residents on Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at City Hall, 222 E. 9th Street, in the west parking lot. 

Accepted Materials

• All paper
• File folders
• Hanging files
• Computer files
• Computer paper
• Notepads
• Envelopes

Excluded Materials

• Cans/bottles
• Food/wrappers
• Thick metal
• Copier/printer cartridges
• Corrugated cardboard
• Non-recyclable materials
• Large quantities of plastic
• Biohazard materials
• Medical waste

There is no need to remove staples, paperclips, fasteners, or rubber bands. The service will be provided by ProShred Security. To learn more about ProShred, please visit their website or call their local number at (708) 263-4292. This is a free event hosted by the City of Lockport.
