Clean-Up Event Planned In Downtown Lockport Saturday

Volunteers can help out at the event​ from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, starting at The Scale House, 201 W. 10th St.

LOCKPORT, IL — Main Street Lockport, a nonprofit which supports downtown Lockport, will hold the 30th annual Clean Sweep on Saturday.

Volunteers can help out at the event from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, starting at The Scale House, 201 W. 10th St. You can register to volunteer by emailing mainstreetlockport@gmail.com or calling 815-600-2489.

Volunteers will clean up the downtown and also plant some flowers and other pollinator plants. A T-shirt, snacks and drinks will be given to volunteers.

Volunteers should bring their face masks and gloves.

The event is held in partnership with the Illinois State Museum-Lockport Gallery and the City of Lockport.
