Comicopolis Planned In Lockport
The Lockport Branch will host the annual pop culture and comic festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the meeting rooms of the library.
LOCKPORT, IL — The fourth annual Comicopolis returns to the Lockport Library on Saturday, Aug. 4. The White Oak Library - Lockport Branch will host the annual pop culture and comic festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the meeting rooms of the library.
According to the library website, guests will be able to meet artists, buy artwork and crafts, enter a costume contest for cash prizes, cosplay, attend make-up and cosplay workshops, sit for a caricature and strike a pose in the new photo booth. There will also be bouncy houses, online gaming, "Legacy Adventure Park" games in the parking lot, live "ninja" turtles and swag bags.
Comicopolis is a partnership program with Amazing Fantasy Books & Comics, the City of Lockport Summer Art Series, and Zombie Army Productions.
