Lockport Township: Dem, Republican Slates Split Projected Wins

Voters split the Democratic and Republican slates pretty evenly among the open township positions, according to unofficial results.

HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — The Democrat and Republican slates split the ballot fairly evenly in the Lockport Township elections, according to Tuesday's unofficial results.

Projected winners include: incumbent and Democrat Ron Alberico for township supervisor, Republican Annette Parker for township clerk; incumbent and Democrat Mary Ann Williamson for township assessor; incumbent and Republican Jim Louch for highway commissioner; Republican Jessica Cannaday for collector; Republicans Gregg Bickus and Denise Salvino, and Democrat incumbents Dean Morelli and Karen Johnson as township trustees.

Tuesday's election results are unofficial until certified by the county on April 27. Provisional Ballots cast on Election Day and all late Vote By Mail Ballots postmarked by Election Day will be counted at Provisional Count on April 20.

  • Jessica Cannaday - 3,357
  • Estiver Salamanca - 2,532

Township trustee (four open positions)

  • Gregg Bickus - 2,869
  • Denise Salvino - 2,997
  • Ken Beaton - 2,625
  • Michael Lewandowski - 2,778
  • Dean Morelli - 2,991
  • Karen Johnson - 2,797
  • Sherry Williams - 2,749

Louch, Bickus, Deskin, McNally, Parker, Cannaday, Salvino, Beaton, and Lewandowski ran as Republicans on the Lockport Township Republican slate.

Louch and Bickus are both incumbents.

Alberico, Williamson, Batusich, Gotts, Morelli, Johnson, Williams, Pointon and Salamanca ran as Democrats on the Lockport Township Democratic slate. According to the slate's website, Alberico, Williamson, Morelli, Johnson, and Williams are incumbents.
