HOMER GLEN-LOCKPORT, IL — The Fourth of July and unofficial middle of summer is quickly approaching. Independence Day is a federal holiday, which means that government offices are closed, and many people are also off work for the day. This year, July 4th falls on Wednesday.
And don't forget, if you're looking for something to do for the holiday, Lockport will hold their annual fireworks show on July 3 at Dellwood Park, starting at dusk.
