The Goddard School Opens In Lockport

The early childhood franchise opened a location in Lockport, 16523 W. 159th St., on Aug. 17.

LOCKPORT, IL — Area parents now have a new choice for child care with the opening of The Goddard School in Lockport. The early childhood franchise opened a location in Lockport, 16523 W. 159th St., on Aug. 17.

Owner Sabina Shah is helping families navigate uncertainties when they're deciding whether or not to send their children back to daycare, a release from the franchise states.

Health guidelines include: new drop-off and pick-up procedures (parents are met at the door during designated times), temperature checks, and heightened cleanliness practices. According to a release, The Goddard School in Lockport is also using The HALO Disinfecting System which helps to eliminate pathogens, spores and other contaminants.

“We’re taking extra measures to ensure children and faculty are entering into a safe and healthy environment,” Shah said in a release.

Children from six weeks to six years old can enroll at the school. The 10,400-square-foot building is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There are several Goddard School locations in Illinois, including in Darien, Mokena, Naperville and Plainfield.
