Happy Mother’s Day From Jackson Piazza

"You are not only my mom — you are also my best friend, the one person I trust and the person who loves me."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Jackson Piazza's letter to his mom:

Dear Mom,

Happy Mother’s Day! I love you so much! You have been there for me, for basketball, soccer, Mary Poppins, etc. You have been my favorite coach! (#VolleyballCoachForLife)

You are the one to drive me to soccer, and to clean my smelly — I mean smelly — soccer shoes. Without you I would have no ride to soccer, no coach for volleyball and most importantly no mom to love me.

I’m always on your tail whenever you go anywhere, even when you go get your nails done, or when you go to get food. I love when we spend time together, when we go shopping on Sunday and get our Starbucks, and we sing songs at the top of our lungs!

You are always there in the soccer field. During practice and games you are there, laughing with your soccer moms (your girls). You might be mad at me for getting a C on a test, but at the end of the day we are besties.

You are not only my mom — you are also my best friend, the one person I trust and the person who loves me. You always make sure for my birthday I get what I want and need (mostly need — but I still get it!). You are the most loving, heartwarming, talkative person I know.

Everywhere we go you know someone, and you stop and are laughing with someone, or you don’t even know them! That what makes you special. Sorry for annoying you when you are trying to watch your shows AKA "Grey’s Anatomy". When I need a ride last minute, you are my go-to ride, AKA my Uber driver. I love you so much! Happy Mother’s Day and birthday (May 12)!

Love you bunches,
Jackson
