HOMER GLEN, IL — It's almost time for Homer Glen's annual festival, Homer Fest. The festival runs from Thursday, June 21 to Sunday, June 24 and includes all kinds of activities for all ages. There will also be a parade, fireworks show and carnival for residents to enjoy. The fest takes place at the northeast corner of 151st and Creme.
The fireworks show has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 24, at 9:30 p.m. Due to the rain in the forecast for Thursday and Friday, the show was changed from Thursday to Sunday. The village said the 30 minutes, choreographed, fireworks display takes crews a full day to set up. Once everything is set the show must go on or be cancelled.
The carnival has also been cancelled for Thursday, due to the rain and ground condition.
