Homer Glen Accepting Nominations For Nature Awards

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen is accepting nominations for its 2021 Community and Nature in Harmony awards. The awards recognize an individual or group who, through preservation, restoration or beautification of land, has "demonstrated a commitment to the environment," and contributed to community pride, according to the village website.

Nominations are accepted until June 20; and awards will be presented in September.

The awards are a project of the environment committee of the village, according to the village website. Recipients will be selected in the categories of: individuals, business/developers, and community organizations/government agencies.
