Homer Glen Carjacking: Suspect Photos Released, No One In Custody
Illinois State Police found the carjacked vehicle in Dolton early Thursday.

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office has released photos of two men who held a man at gunpoint during a carjacking while he was in line at the McDonald's drive-thru in Homer Glen.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded at 6:04 p.m. Wednesday to McDonald's, 14298 S. Bell Road, in Homer Glen for a carjacking. The man told deputies that he had ordered food at the menu board and pulled up to the first window to pay, when two men approached him with handguns, police said.
One man opened the front passenger door and jumped inside while pointing a gun at the victim and telling him to get out. The victim exited his car, and the man crawled into the driver's side, and the second man got in the passenger side. The men then fled the scene with the victim's 2020 dark red Dodge Charger, and the BMW followed.

Before the incident, at 6 p.m., the sheriff's office said deputies received a suspicious vehicle call from a resident in the Erin Hills subdivision in Homer Glen. Residents in the subdivision told police they saw a black BMW SUV on the street in front of their homes. The BMW parked, and they saw two men attempting to gain entry into their cars, but the cars were locked.
While deputies responded to the call, the call about the aggravated carjacking came in. The sheriff's office said the vehicle description given by residents matched the description of the car in the carjacking.

Deputies issued an alert to area police, and at 1 a.m. Thursday, Illinois State Police found and pursued the Dodge Charger, heading eastbound on I-80. According to the sheriff's office, the pursuit was terminated due to excessive speeds and safety to other motorists. At 2 a.m., Illinois State Police found the Dodge Charger in Dolton.
The vehicle is currently being processed for evidence, the sheriff's office said. The original license plates on the vehicle had been changed to dealer plates.
Police believe the BMW has been reported stolen from the Gurnee area, and that vehicle remains unfound.
