HOMER GLEN, IL — A Homer Glen man has been charged with four counts of child pornography, the Will County Sheriff's Office said. Connor Jones, 23, of the 14400 block of West Renmore Road, turned himself in to police on Tuesday and has since posted bail.

According to the sheriff's office, the investigations units first received a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force and the Attorney General's Office in 2017 about possible child pornography being uploaded and shared via a cloud-based storage and sharing app.

In January, police secured a search warrant to investigate the IP address connected to the account. The sheriff's office said that led them to Jones, who was interviewed earlier this month. Detectives said Jones made statements incriminating himself during the interview.

Police said electronic devices were also taken at the time of the interview, and forensic analysis of them has now been completed.

A warrant was issued July 22 for Jones' arrest, and bond was set at $250,000. Information on Jones' next court date was not immediately available.
