HOMER GLEN, IL — A Homer Glen resident recently helped his team to capture a box lacrosse championship. Bennett Davidson, a lacrosse player and a freshman at Lockport Township High School, helped the True Illinois box lacrosse team to a national title.

Bennett's mom Rachel Davidson said the team played in the National Box Lacrosse Tournament in Huntington Beach, California in August. The squad took on a team out of British Columbia, defeating them for the championship win.

Rachel said the team will continue to compete throughout the year and will look to defend their title next August.
