Homer Township Seeks Community Input For Morris Park Improvements
The township board is working with Upland Design to develop a master plan for the site.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Homer Township is seeking community input for improvements at Morris Park. The park is located east of Gougar Road along 163rd Street, west of Cedar Road.
According to the Township website, the township board is working with Upland Design to develop a master plan for the site. The township has created a survey for residents to submit input, which can be filled out online until Feb. 28.
Morris Park is one of nine parks that Homer Township owns and maintains. According to the township website, the park has several soccer fields, a fishing pond, a picnic area and playground equipment.

The township said on its website that future enhancements of the park are planned using established capital reserves, park impact contributions and potential grant funding assistance.
"Additionally, a collaboration with MI Homes, the Lockport Township Park District and City of Lockport will facilitate enlargement of the park; provide water and sewer infrastructure and other supplementary amenities," the township website states. "We are extremely excited that this long awaited project is now underway."
