Lockport Homer Swim Club Competes At State Championship
The swim club is a school-run feeder program that is run by LTHS through the Community Wellness Center.

LOCKPORT, IL — Several swimmers in the Lockport Homer Swim Club competed in the Illinois Age Group State Championship. The swim club is a school-run feeder program that is run by LTHS through the Community Wellness Center.
The club said it competed at a regional meet in February and had over 45 entries. Most recently, the club competed in the championship on March 8-10 in Indiana.
The club said Anna Westberg, Reid Jarosik, Bria Chandarana and Adrianna West represented the team in the age 9-10 girls 200-yard Medley Relay. The girls qualified at a conference competition in early February and then took third with a 2:23.22 at their regional meet.

Westberg also competed at the state meet in five individual races: the 50-yard and 100-yard backstroke, and the 50-yard, 100-yard, and 200-yard freestyle.
The club practices at LTHS' facility and are also coached by staff of the high school.
